For Ibuki Tonami, drinking alcohol is her favorite way to unwind from her college studies and duties as her dormitory's resident assistant. However, due to past bad experiences with others, Ibuki feels insecure about the hiccups she gets when drinking and therefore only drinks alone. But as first-year student Botan Kamiina moves into the same dormitory, things begin to change. During an outing with their dormmates, Botan coincidentally spots Ibuki drinking by herself. Although she has never tried alcohol before, Botan is curious about Ibuki and her drink. Ibuki willingly shares her drink, and it turns out that drinking alcohol turns the usually well-mannered, cheerful Botan into an assertive flirt. The other residents of their dormitory are shocked to discover that the withdrawn Ibuki has started drinking with Botan. Every new drink Botan tries becomes a fond memory, and she hopes to gradually break Ibuki out of her shell so that the two can enjoy drinks with the others one day. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Botan Kamina per me è stata la rivelazione assoluta della stagione entrando di slancio nella mia top ten di tutti i tempi! Un semplice Slice of Life sulla vita in comune di sei splendide ragazze che vivono insieme in una casa per studentesse universitarie, giornate tra studio, legami personali che si stringono, o si allentano, visite a negozi, terme, vinerie e pub, qualche gita tra campagna e montagna.. tutto qui! Tutto presentato in maniera incredibile, i disegni, le animazioni, le ambientazioni in una Chichibu (è una località universitaria pedemontana nei sobborghi di Tokyo) vivace e colorata tanto ben fatto da far vivere le vicende delle raazze accanto a loro. Ogni negozio, locale, museo, bagno termale, albergo, località turistica esiste realmente, ho impiegato almeno mezz'ora in più a puntata per andare a vedere dal vivo i posti rappresentati, le notizie che vengono date sulle tante bevande alcooliche sono precise, tecniche e reali ma mai pedanti e noiose! Poi ci sono le sei ragazze, tutte presentate benissimo, con il giusto spazio, con personalità diverse e ben assortite e poi c'è Botan, la protagonista principale, beh.. il dio della Grazia e della Bellezza ha baciato la mano del Character Design perchè ha dato vita ad una delle protagoniste più belle di sempre!!! L'anime e assolutamente Yuri, ma fatto con un eleganza e leggerezza tali che il mondo, praticamente senza uomini, nel quale si svolgono le vicende, sembra assolutamente normale. Dovrei chiedere la sesta stella alla redazione perchè ho dato 5 stelle, meritatamente, a tanti bellissimi prodotti ma, obbiettivante Botan è più bello..
