Several decades ago, “dungeons” appeared in the world, and people who awakened to mysterious powers called “skills” began to emerge. They came to be known as explorers, defeating monsters in the dungeons to gain wealth and fame. This is the story of one boy aiming for the very top in such a world. Noboru Takegami is a boy who also dreams of becoming an explorer, but the unique skill he acquired, Skill Collection, only allows the effects of any skill he learns to function at one-tenth of their normal power. Because of that, people around him mocked him as having “the weakest unique skill in human history.” However, one day, after suddenly falling into a pitfall in a dungeon and fighting desperately against monsters, the total number of skills Noboru had learned finally reached 10,000, and he obtained a super–high-rank skill called Overwhelming Might.
